Plus you will have the ability to hear about houses just as soon as they come on the market!

Builder-developers may also be able to help you. These are people who have built and/or developed their own property and then, for whatever reason, want to sell it off – yet again, a good real estate agent may be able to help you find these folks.

Houses which are for sale by their owner can also be a great option. Lots of people these days are putting their own houses up for sale because then, they do not have to pay a commission to a real estate agent. Cruise through the neighborhoods in your area – the odds are good that you will be able to find a bunch of these.

Last but not least, never underestimate the true value of a fixer-upper. The house of your dreams may not be in perfect condition, but if you can see the potential and are willing to do some maintenance yourself, then you can get a really great deal – and a really beautiful house.
